Chief Investment Officer Factor Two Capital Management

Thomas Swaney is the former chief investment officer of global fixed income at Northern Trust Asset Management. In this capacity, Thomas had broad oversight of the $600+ billion fixed income platform as well as business management and portfolio management responsibilities. As Chief Investment Officer, Thomas served as the chair of the Fixed Income Strategy Committee, a group that formulates the fixed income platform’s strategic macroeconomic and investment themes that in turn informs overall strategy, risk budgeting and portfolio construction across all fixed income portfolios. Thomas was also a member of the Investment Committee that is represented by the CIO’s from across the firm and served on the Executive Group within asset management. Prior to Northern Trust, Thomas held several senior executive and portfolio management roles at firms such as J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, OFI Global Asset Management and Ellington Management Group. Thomas holds a B.B.A and M.B.A. with a concentration in corporate financial analysis, as well as a M.Sc. in finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has over 26 years of investment experience.
