Sweta is a fixed income portfolio manager with more than twenty years of industry experience. Previously, she was a portfolio manager at Wilkins Investment Counsel Inc., where she ran multi asset bond portfolios managing trades, and researching corporate bonds, taxable and tax-exempt municipal bonds, along with agencies and treasuries. Prior to Wilkins, she was an associate portfolio manager at Thornburg Investment Management on the municipal desk. Sweta started her career in research and was VP of research at Breckinridge Capital Advisors. She has also worked at Income Research and Management and Wellington Management.

Growing volatility across public credit markets is increasing pressure on investors to assess private credit exposures more dynamically and consistently across portfolios. At the same time, the emergence of private credit indices, independent valuation providers and more frequent pricing initiatives is prompting firms to reassess which public market tools, pricing frameworks and risk disciplines can be adapted to private credit investing without undermining the long-term advantages of illiquid assets.  


This session will examine what lessons private credit markets can realistically adopt from public credit as convergence accelerates across the broader credit ecosystem. Panellists will discuss how firms are using market-based pricing signals, transparency frameworks and cross-market analytics to improve allocation decisions, portfolio agility and investment oversight across increasingly connected public and private credit markets.
