Jeff Himstreet is senior regulatory counsel and vice president for MFA, an association representing the private funds industry in private credit, derivatives, regulatory, and systemic risk issues. He previously was counsel to a private investment office and spent nearly a decade with PGIM, where he advised on investment advisory, derivatives, and regulatory matters. He was the principal derivatives lawyer at PGIM Fixed Income, implementing regulatory reform globally, in addition to supporting affiliated PGIM asset managers. Prior to joining PGIM, he was a partner with Bingham McCutchen, and also worked in-house, serving as the chief investment advisory product support for a large, dually-registered firm and as the chief legal officer for the wealth management division of a regional bank, and served as an attorney with the SEC's Division of Investment Management.
